Seeking inspiration from Bridgerton, bride Soumi envisioned a royal, elegant, and timeless ambience for her wedding ceremony at the Fairmont Copley Plaza. Pav accordingly curated a special musical medley for all of the immediate family and bridesmaids / groomsmen as they walked in. Choosing songs like Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham (Bridgerton version), Pav catered perfectly to the theme, decor, and bride’s vision.

Mother-to-be Sunaina was a guest at a wedding gig Pav played for and absolutely fell in love with the live strings. Her baby shower was coming up in just a few months so she asked Pav how Bollywood fusion could enhance her event. Pav planned songs centered around the occasion like Jalebi Baby and other popular songs at the time like Tum Se.

Organizer Sasha reached out to Pav to see if she could design a live instrumental experience for her Diwali soiree. Pav took it upon herself to design an upbeat, entertaining violin-tabla concert for guests as they entered and mingled. She played songs that are apt with tabla like It’s the Time to Disco as well as fusion songs like Maan Meri Jaan (Afterlife).

Bride Lagnajita reached out to see if Pavani could play her favorite Bengali song for her intimate wedding ceremony at Willowdale Estate. After listening to Pavani’s Indian classical music recordings online, she fell in love with a few ragas and wanted them played as background tunes for her wedding ceremony. Pavani delivered by playing Shonakathi for the bride’s entrance, various raga alapana during the ceremony (Bhimplas, Khamas, Mohanam), and Ranjha for the couple’s exit.

01. Initial Call
What is your vision for your event? Pav will discuss how she can elevate what you have in mind with live strings.
02. Secure Date
This includes an initial deposit & contract outlining all the details.
03. Build Repertoire
Pav provides an option to add, accept & decline specific songs on Google Sheets, allowing you to collaborate on building the perfect song list!
04. Demo Recordings
Once the repertoire is finalized, Pav can send over violin recordings of herself playing various songs.
05. Custom background tracks
Pav uses music software to mix tracks and works with various musicians as needed.
06. Consistent Communication And Transparency
Pav sends status changes and updates as the timeline progresses. Additionally, she is always happy to hop on a call to discuss things further.
07. Coordination
As we get closer to your event, she will reach out to your wedding planner, DJ, and venue to confirm timings, set-up logistics, equipment, etc.
08. Day of Logistics
Pav typically arrives at the venue ~1.5 hrs prior to set up her space & check the mics, speakers, etc.

Though Pav is based in NYC, she travels to perform globally and has given concerts throughout the US, Canada, and India. Pavani has played for weddings from the Tri-state area to California, and even destination weddings in Cancun. Schedule a call with Pav for her special destination wedding curations and rates.

Pavani plays for weddings, engagements, anniversaries, proposals, baby showers, and many other events. In addition to private events, Pavani plays publicly with DJs at electronic music venues.

Pav plays various types of Indian film music like Bollywood, Punjabi, South Indian, etc. She renders songs that fall under pop, EDM, Afro beats etc. as well as improvises within house and techno. Of course, Pavani is trained in Carnatic music and performs traditional concerts as well.

Pricing is dependant on the occasion, # of hours and travel. It reflects Pavani’s time involved in curating custom background music and practice. She accepts song requests and will learn any song as needed.

Pav chooses to play on her acoustic or electric violin depending on the genre. For a cocktail hour, say Bollywood & Western fusion music, Pav typically chooses to play on her electric violin. For a wedding ceremony or classical concert, Pav plays on her acoustic violin. If you have preferences, Pav can switch it up for you.
